Bolstering an impressive 13-year career in the Canadian Armed Forces as an Infantry Officer with the Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry, Don has been formally recognized within the military for his drive, determination, and can-do positive attitude and ability to deliver results - something he strives to do every single day in his Real Estate career. Having completed a BA (Hons) in English from York University and an MA in Disaster and Emergency Management from Royal Roads University where he focused on how overland flooding affects the national housing sector, Don's ability to synthesize complex issues and develop practical solutions speaks to his ability to problem solve regardless of how challenging the situation. Buying or selling your home is a deeply personal and transitional period in one's life. As a military spouse, I have moved across the country, having to plant new roots in unfamiliar places. These experiences combined with being a mom of two have shaped my understanding of the challenges my clients face and have given me the ability to identify potential issues, to navigate around them and to find solutions. My clients feel a sense of trust, unwavering support, engagement, confidence, and knowledge throughout their buying or selling experience. Mitigating stress through open communication, informed decision making and effective negotiation are my biggest strengths. Human connection is my driving force. I aim to seek a commonality with my clients and colleagues, and in doing so, make life easier by being a resource and lifeline for my clients. With a background in Human Services and local non-profit charity organizations, I have years of experience working as a fundraiser, day program instructor, job coach, team lead and support worker for a number of organizations. All of these experiences have set me up for success in Real Estate with transferable skills of interpersonal communication, community engagement & outreach. With my experience as a Client Care Coordinator for an award-winning Real Estate group under my belt, we have a proven process in leading clients through the success of buying or selling their home. From the first stages of house hunting to connecting clients with service providers, closing day and beyond, I am there every step of the way. My goal is to create clients for life, by providing a real estate experience in which the client feels informed, confident, and they can look back on their experience and feel like they had the tools necessary to make the right decision.
